It has a pivot pin that is prone to walk during firing, I fixed this problem by staking the edge of the hole on each side to capture the pin. I changed out the mounting bolts for stainless steel hex head bolts and tiny stainless lock washers and they have yet to loosen at all. This gun now has a 1x4 scope on a Larue mount and I like having the front sight folded completely out of the way when not in use.

This makes me want to buy a 12.0 Omega and turn it into a FSP for my pinned 14.5. What did you use to touch up the bare aluminum?

Birchwood-Casey makes a aluminum touch up paint called Aluminum Black that comes in a little 3oz. bottle for about 10 bucks.

I used brake caliper paint. The black matched, it's rated for 900 degree temps, tough as nails when cured and resists oils and solvents reall well. I've used it on everything from handguards, to barrels and gas blocks with no durability issues. I find that the aluminum black can wear off pretty easy in some applications.

Has anyone tried any other options with the Omega X FSP regarding flip up front sights? I have the same rail and a new barrel and looking for options. Can't decide which way to move forward.

Im curious if the NEW Vltor VST 2-C will fit under the DD 12.0 Omega-X rail. It looks like they trimmed it down a bit, and it doesnt have the QD swivel mount either (optional).

I just overhauled my Noveske 16 Middy.
    DD FSBM 12 Lite
    YHM folding front sight
    AAC Brakeout.

It turned out real nice. The front sight sits flush and pops up without interference. I was concerned it might look goofy but its very clean. Got it back yesterday. I probably wont get to shoot it till next Thurs. due to little league and work.
