1911 sights

I recently picked up a springfeild armory mil-spec and have been shooting it for about 2 months. I am looking for a new set of sights for it. It currently has the standard low profile 3 dot set on it. I dont need night sights just something a little better for plinking. Any suggestions would be great this is my first 1911.
