Aimpoint Comp ML2 vs. ML3?

Besides the choice of the 2 MOA dot in the ML2 and the shorter batter life, are there really any other differences between the two sights? Is the ML3 built better or anything?

ML3 comes with a 2 or 4 MOA dot. ML2 only comes with a 4 MOA dot.

I have heard that in the lower brightness settings the 4 MOA dot looks more like the 2 MOA dot. Is this true?

Other than battery life and dot size they are essentially the same. I have both 2 and 4 MOA Aimpoints. While at lower settings the 4 MOA does get smaller, it does not compare to the 2 MOA. Conversely, you can turn up the 2 MOA dot way up and it will get look more like a 4 MOA on normal setting.

Oh, and the ML3 is waterproof to 135' whereas the ML2 only goes down to 80'....if you're a SEAL or something.

+1 for the 2MOA dot... especially if you're considering using in conjunction with a magnifier.

I love my CompM3 and CompM4 with 2 MOA dot.

My H-1 Micro with 4 MOA dot has been sold.
