    Hornady AMAX vs. Sierra HPBT

I have been buying alot of HSM ammo lately in .308 for my FN PBR. One is 168gr. using a Hornady AMAX round. The other is a 168gr. using a Sierra Boat Tail Hollow Point Match round. My rifle shoots both rounds at 100 yards with the same size groups. My Question is, are Hornady AMAX rounds boat tail? And if not, does that effect there accuracy at 500-1000 yards. I will admit I am biased toward the AMAX for no apparent reason, but I know of the wonderful long range reputation of the Sierra HPBT. I havn't had the oppurtunity to shoot either long range to come to my own conclusions, so I am wondering what experiances everyone has had. Especially at shooting the AMAX long range.

    A-Max's are BTs.

If 175's are offered try those as well. Those have a better BC than 168's.
