Amy Geissele emailed all the installation and maintenance info to me same day and I got this email today from Amy...

"Thanks for the kind words…we are shipping out all the supplies that you need today. Once you get everything let us know if you have any other questions or if you need anything. Thanks and have a great day!

    All handled within 24 hours!

And the missing info sheets and lube was not even Geissele's doing it was the mistake of the distributor I ordered from.

Today I just installed a SSA, and I am glad I did it. Previously I had a LMT 2-stage on a Defender2000 lower, and it was very good trigger already. The pull was very clean and light. However, after installed a SSA, I thought SSA feel much better. I had a reservation at first to install a SSA, but when it's all and done. I should have this trigger all along. This is a trigger for your go to everyday gun.

Also, someone has concern will SSA work with a KNS Gen 2 Non-Rotating Trigger/Hammer Pins. Not to worry, this fit perfectly on KNS.

Those look like Gen I to me. They worked for me but I will heed what the manufacturer said. He knows more than us about his products.

I don't want to trade the reliability of the USGI trigger for a marginal improvement in feel. Most reviews seem to say that's not the case, but then I read about special grease, don't use KNS pins, etc and it starts to sound less like a combat trigger and more like a finicky (there's that word again) match trigger.

you don't need a "special grease" that's just the lube that GA has determined to work best and they're nice enough to give you some. You can use any lubricant.

Just like you don't "need" slip2000EWL for lubing up your BCG and can use Break CLP but lots of people have the opinion that the EWL works the best.

Nothing finicky about the trigger as far as lube goes

Im thinking you forked up the instal. Have someone else that knows what it should feel like, pull it and let you know. It may just need a little tweaking.

    Food for thought

Here is the deal on non-rotating pins

Geissele SSA pins are 0.1550" dia +/-0.0001
Holes in the trigger can be 5 tenths over Geissele pin size
Kns pins are either .154 or .1555. So they are either too loose or just about a metal to metal fit in our triggers

Geissele pins are chrome-moly steel that is rough turned, rough ground, heat treated and then centerless finish ground. They are a quality pin.

Why do we not recommend KNS pins? One is that they are the wrong size. Can the smaller diameter pins work? Yes, but they are not the intended size and there can be a 'softer" break to the 2nd stage with them.

But the biggest reason is that the KNS pins are soft. Sometimes when they are installed they pull up a burr that causes havoc with trigger operation. I get calls from frustrated customers where they are totally disappointed in their SSA because it either feels terrible or it hangs up. I spend all kinds of time on the phone wracking my brain trying to figure out what is going on and trying to work the customer through the problem. Finally, I ask the customer to send the trigger in (which I hate to inconvenience the customer with) and the issue is that the KNS pins are jamming the trigger up.

Yes, our website is a total mess. We have a new one almost ready but I would rather spend time in the shop. We doubled our manufacturing floor space in Dec and am still getting everything set up. BTW - the company has a Facebook page if you guys want to check us out.

I hope this helps, guys. Don't ever hesitate to contact me if questions come up.

I quality trigger is worlds apart from a rough and gritty USGI. Nothing wrong with a USGI trigger but given the overall cost of a quality carbine an extra 160 for an SSA is a bargain.
