    Its hard to get both for that I would sugest a S&W M&P, Academy sports has them going around 899 last I looked and a Burris 4x20 Timberline is going around 180

    Stevie: You should definitely prioritise.

    1) Focus on getting a good rifle/carbine first.
    2) If you've got enough left for a good scope, cool, if you don't wait until you do.

    For $1000 you can get a rifle that doesn't suck. Screw all the bolt-on accessories until you've shot the thing or taken a class. Then you'll see what you want, and what you don't want.

    Could you suggest one?
    Ive look at double star's and one of my friends tryed to sell me a DPMS for 900.
    Like i said. Im very new to these and i dont want to end up getting ripped off.
    Ill be making my purchase next week.

    Would i have to build that?
    I was kinda looking for one that was already built. Cause i dont know the first part of building them.

    Also on that upper. Would i have to buy the grip and stuff for it? like the barrel shroud part

    You can have the plastic HG added for 20 bucks have grant throw a buttstock on all you have to do is push the take down pins in add a magpul mbus rear and your very well armed

    Also, I'd pass on anything from Tapco, CAA, UTG, or any of the airsoft companies for use on a real firearm--they're just not made to handle the stress a real gun can place on some accessory doodad.
