Thank you everyone for your help.
Smith & Wesson M&P15 MOE
I think ill go with that one. Just saw it was rifle of the year. So i guess it must be good to go with.
Oh and it comes with a sight .... so i can use that till i get a scope...

Read more, post less...
While the S&W is a good gun, the best bang for the buck is going to be the BCM.
Don't listen to ANYONE trying to get you to buy a Bushmaster or DPMS. Run.
Dude, unless you're gonna make out with the thing, looks aren't worth shit.
If you plan on actually shooting it, in your budget, go with BCM, LMT, or S&W.
You're focusing too much on the cart instead of the horse. Get a good horse. If you've got a thousand bucks, don't skimp on the rifle to get a bunch of worthless junk to slap onto it.
Trust me.

I think that we are just going to have to let him make his mistakes and learn from them. Many/most of us made the mistakes and paid for them (literally) and have come to the same conclusions that we are all trying to get this new guy to understand. Let him lug his varmint gun around during a class until he decides that it's too heavy. Until he does, he won't care what we say because right now he is in the "tacticool" phase of the black rifle disease.
