Let him lug his varmint gun around during a class until he decides that it's too heavy. Until he does, he won't care what we say because right now he is in the "tacticool" phase of the black rifle disease.

What class? I dont take any classes.
I just go back on my hill and shoot animals or just go shoot around with my friend's.

I live in the middle of eastern kentucky. Theres just mountains. Houses are miles apart, seriously.

Incorrect. BCM upper, lower, BCG and charging handle are about $934.

Hell, I'd go with the Charles Daly, they've gotten great reviews.

After that I'd go after S&W, and I just wouldn't buy an DPMS.

Honestly, I have a friend who won an LRT SASS at the Silencer Shoot this year, it's barrel came loose and would rotate 10-15 degrees left or right after 300 rounds.

I mean... They've got QC issues. I won't recommend a company that it's a throw of the dice of what you're going to get, you spend too much money to accept that.

Plus, spending 900$, when you can get something like a BCM complete for 1100$, you're really doing yourself a disservice, honestly.

At this point you're already spending 900$, $200 is a drop in the bucket. That's the cost of certain people's favorite butt stock.

You end up with everything being military specification or better, and don't have to sweat the small stuff.

I bought a BCM Complete Lower Today. I'm parting the gun out, as I'm a college student, but I see it as false economy to buy stuff that you don't want and try to substitute or pass it off as what you really want, you know? I've learned with guns, if you really want something, don't compromise and buy something else, get what you want, as you'll always look at it in the view of "It's

It seems like a waste of money, add 19% more to the cost of the gun, and you've got a gun that will run for thousands of trouble free rounds.

By the way, I'd recommend buying from G&R, they were trouble free in the transaction I had. Very helpful.

Excellent point. A top tier AR for about the same price as the S&W.

You might try Grant for an M&P15 MOE. However, I think you need to slow down and do some reading before buying anything. From your stated needs it sounds like a smith & wesson would be a decent choice, but please before your drop any cash on a rifle, just do some more research here.

Just as an FYI to you, this is a forum geared towards training and defensive shooting. Varmint AR's aren't all that popular on here.
