Yeah. It's rare, but It can happen. I have a mag or two of hand load defense ammo deep in my stash. But I used new cases to make those loads.
A better way to spend 10 bucks cannot be found, I never thought of the chamber brush, a sound idea till the BSE gets delivered.

I was lucky that the forward part of my case did not stick badly enough in the chamber to need a tool to get it out. It came right out when I pulled the round that had fed on top of it out.

I figure since I bought the BSE, I'll never have another case separation as long as I live.

For what it's worth, I have had more bad luck with ultramax than I have had with wolf. I would stay away from re-man ammo if possible.

Wouldn't shoot Ultramax in my stuff even if it was free. Also good idea to get a ruptured case extractor from Brownells.

Ugh, I shot ultramax years ago back when it actually was almost the same price as wolf. I had a case separation that required a pair of pliers to clear and I have never bought the stuff since. Hell, nowadays it costs more than new brass cased stuff.

    ETA crappy cell phone pic:

I appreciate the responses. Yeah, I'm done with Ultramax. I had a few boxes laying around from some years ago and had decided to go shoot it up.
