    if you shot nothing but full auto 30-round magazine dumps for 40,000 rounds, you'd still never "wear" extended feedramps, anodized or not. the odds of a round even touching them are probably one in a thousand. they're just a failsafe.

    a homeschool M4 dremel job is one thing- if you possess the steady hands required, by all means. but for a manfer to do it is just silly and cheap as hell. thats my only complaint.

    What are "M4 feedramps"? I am new to AR's and I am trying to figure all this out...how do I tell what MY carbine has?

    m4 feedramps extend into the receiver. traditional ramps are contained in the barrel extension. you can tell the difference by looking- if your ramps extend from barrel extension to receiver, then you have m4 ramps.
