Thanks guys. The stock is a complete package from Hi Desert Dog. The Vltor adapter has its own buffer tube so it would not be able to accept the Magpul UBR.
As to why I changed to stock was mainly to counter the weight of the necessities attached to the front. It was overweight in front of the Magwell and felt nose heavy with the Mini-4. By adding the weight of the UBR stock it is now slightly rear bias. Just enough to bring balance back to the rifle. The 2nd reason was, I never used the folding stock and would rather have a much stronger fixed stock.
Did a little shooting with the SCARs
Scope is a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10 x 44. Very clear glass.

Finally figured it is time to drop the cash on my first SCAR 17. Though it is bone stock right now, I have a Harris bipod on the way and a Leupold Mark 4 will be coming soon. Please excuse my cheapo AK.
Nice SCAR's.
I'd trade my G22 RMR'd, Arsenal SLR107-UR SBR for a SCAR 10.5" right now.

So I figure I have proof that my SCAR has a "Sporting" purpose. Took this cow in my AZ Unit 9 Oct. hunt.
Recovered the 165gr Nosler Accubond from the hid of her left front shoulder. Entrance was in the chest just behind the right front shoulder.

Two battle rifles from different eras:
M14 is a smith ent. built rack grade with mostly TRW parts.
Shot this yesterday at 100 yards with my SCAR 17 / IOR 1.5-8X, Atlas Bipod, Super SCAR trigger. Hair under 1-1/8". Not too shabby.
