Lmfao. I love how everybody here despises that site.

Aren't we on the same side?

There are good knowledgeable posters on that site.

    Silencerco Kicks Butt

While on a set for a TV on the Discovery Channel, I played with a number of Silencerco products yesterday: From the Sparrow .22 to the Osprey 9 and Osprey 45.

Simply, I was VERY MUCH impressed with the Osprey 45 as it sounded much like a suppressed subsonic 9! By far one of the quietest I have ever heard both behind the line and on top of the gun.

More detailed AAR to come. Josh and Jon are great guys, and it was a fun day at the range. Thanks!

    Merry Christmas!

In my opinion the ideal set up would be the Gemtech UMP sillencer since I have the 8in barrel with the mushroom head for thier QD suppressor. Then I would acquire some kind of thread adapter for. 45 threaded barrels that mimic the UMP mushroom head and then just QD the suppressor for whatever wepon I am using.

Unfortunately it seems I will need to thread the barrel and get a thread cap. And also acquire several boosters for using on a pistol. Now if a manufacture had a locking booster built in that would lock out on carbines or boost on pistols by using a throw lever would be another great feature.

Most likely, a purpose-built UMP can would be too big/heavy to run on a pistol, even with a booster.

That said, both our Ti-RANT 45 and the Osprey 45 can quickly have their booster's spring replaced with a fixed spacer for use on the sub gun.

Get your UMP threaded the same pitch as your pistol and you wont need to buy any extra pistons.
