So you agree with Wvladimire over on Gunlovers that you don't have a problem with certain guns being banned? You might as well join the NRA. They comprimise too. I believe to be effective, there should never be any comprimise agreed to. Live free or die!

    Gump,

And what would you do if the 2A was erased by law? Follow the Constitution, surrender your weapons to the Police or Military, or violate the basis of all Law in the US? Interesting question.

I ask this because we should not force ourselves into a corner, by making "absolute" statements, because sooner or later, all 4 corners in a room need paint!

There is one sure way to get out of the corner we have painted ourselves into, If we vote Republican as a mass voting block, 220 million guns owned by say 25,000,000 people voting on one day for Republicans only, the next day we wont have to worry about liberals and our 2A rights for 4 more years!

    Vote Republican!
"Weapons are just "tools". No pistol, rifle or shotgun ever killed anyone. You are the weapon. You decide to do good or evil. The mass majority of Americans, regardless of what the democrats want you to think, will make the right decision at the right time regarding the use of firearms. So please... continue to protect yourself, your Family and the innocent. As for the wicked... "Dirt Nap"

    +1

I know "conservatives" that voted liberal in the last election because they were pissed off and wanted to "teach Republicans a lesson". Then they started whining when the Dems made their agenda known.

People need to stop being emotional and vote on issues. It's the only way that we will remain a free country and not end up being "3rd worldish".

I would love for everyone to vote the same way I do. I already know that aint going to happen. There would be a looooot of pissed off people out there who are not going to give there guns up, period.

A guy I work with wants to buy a Rock river arms AR because we live 10 minutes from their front door and they're thinking about moving because of this gun ban crap. If they do leave the area he wants an AR that says "Colona IL." on it. Anyway, he told me he dosent want to buy one if all the government is going to do is come and take it in a few months... Sorry, am I the only one that sees the problem with that statement??? I dont care who they are, they're not getting my shit without cash or a fight, thats how I feel. At the same time I feel powerless to change it.

I have two friends and one family member who are police officers, so its not like I dont have respect for men and women on the force.
I just cant bring myself to understand why gun bans are even an option. I dont just mean accessory bans either I mean any ban of any type, I am a responsible american, I work full time, I pay taxes, Im married with two kids.

They better just come for a fight because not even the US Gov't has enough cash or credit to buy my liberty.

That said, the best thing we can do is fight now, with phones and emails and letters (yes, the real kind on paper made from trees) and our dollars, in the halls of Congress and on the campaign trial. A little hard work on the front end always saves a lot of hard work on the back end.

Someday, if there's a knock on the door, I don't want to have to make that decision, because I already know the right answer, and it isn't the easy one, or fun, glamorous, or exciting either, contrary to what a lot of wannabe loudmouth types will say. It's an awful thing to even consider.

I am in full agreement. You kind of have to look at it from the perspective that the guy knocking on your door is "doing his job" most likely with a family to support. Then there you stand, with your wife behind you asking who it is at the door (while holding your child).

Taking up arms in any situation whether right or wrong is definitely not fun or glamorous and will have far reaching consequences that ultimately will affect you, your family, and the official/his family as well.

It is an awful thing to consider. And when it all goes down in those first few seconds after answering the door what will any of us do? I can't tell for certain until the time comes (nor would I ever post it in the open on the WWW).

No I haven't heard anything new yet. But as you see there are 3 bills they are trying to pass. Make sure you right about all of them. HR 1022, HR 1859, and HR 297. There are seperate topics for each one there. We need letters to stop these things from going through.

I think you are talking to me and misunderstood my statement there. I do agree we need harsher penalties for criminals. I don't think anyone would disagree with that. I also do not mind background checks. What I don't agree with is gun bans or things of that nature. Tell me if that makes sense or not.

Im just speaking in terms of the bottom line. I know its no ones fault but the ignorant people who want these bans in place, and cant mind their own business. I respect the law and the law men and women, When it comes to the owning of firearms I consider us on the same team aginst the oposition. Both of my children are raised up to say "thank you" just out of the blue to men and women in uniform, police or military. Police and military deserve more than that, but it has to be nice knowing that your respected.

Im sorry if I offended or hurt anyone in any way, shape or form, Im not trying to start some kind of conspiracy and everything I own is legal. I just hate the fact that people dont want me to own certain types of guns and their accessories. Its none of their business what I own. Thats what Im pissed about. Its just little old me over here who never hurt anyone and just likes to shoot and I have to watch on TV how someone wants my stuff and they dont know anything about me. I think those people should find somewhere else to go, not the gun manufacturers. My mother taught me to mind my own damb business, I wish other peoples mothers were the same.
