You have to look at the PK and Rainer adds because a lot of their uppers are "custom" builds using Sabre barrels. I have a Sabre comp dlx that I use for 3gun. It is an awesome gun. It is the 18" ss 1/8 fluted barrel. I have yet to have a malfuction with it through about 4 or 5 thousand rounds. As with most of the quality rifles out there it is more accurate than I am. That being said it was sighted in a fifty for what I consider the most usable zero range for 3gun and it will shoot one ragged hole groups on demand. I believe you can not make a bad choice with Sabre, Noveske, BCM, or LaRue. I would even say LMT would be great. I have experience with all of them except the LaRue, but it I was in the market for a new rifle LaRue would be my choice right now.

Yes i have been to both of those sites. PK has great deals on these uppers. Id like to make this upper last me for a while. As i stated in my first post, its mainly a home defense and plinker. So i dont think ill need the 18" SPR. Does that extra 2 inches really matter that much? But i would like the SS 410 barrels, fluted or not. Im still thinking about it and the door is still open. I dont want to get tunnel vision on just these uppers, from what i found their the best deals on grand price tag upper.

how do you guys feel about the Noveske uppers mentioned here being custom assembled by PK? The prices are a lot lower than getting one direct from Noveske...the main difference I'm seeing is they are using a Mil-Spec A3 receiver vs the Vltor MUR that Noveske uses (although you can choose that as an upgrade option...still $200 cheaper than a Noveske assembled upper though).
