Yeah, sorry it took so long. Just busy.
And, middle of the night insomnia doesn't help my crappy photographer skills.

Thanks for the photos. The barrel looks nice.
How does a tight patch feel as it passes through the bore? Is there a big burr at the gas port?

“The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
From what I can find, this is the "Hanson" profile. His version of a lightweight profile barrel.

So here is the finished project. This is a stock VTAC lower with a MUR upper and Geissele MK4 forend. Troy rear and Fusion front. It weighs 6 pounds 11 ounces with no sling or mag.
The barrel looks like and everything went together fine. The barrel was very snug going into the upper and the gas block was also a good snug fit.

These look like really good barrels. Specs look good on paper and from the photos, even attention to detail looks top notch. The Hanson is a really nice profile too. Not sure what rock I've been living under but I cant believe I've never heard of these guys before.
I ran a mag of Tula through the new gun this afternoon to test function. So far no extraction issues. A mag means nothing in the long run but we're off to a pleasing start. Hopefully tomorrow I can find time to get on paper.

What barrel did you end up getting? Hanson cmv?

Awesome. Same line i'm interested in. Keeping my fingers crossed for an 11.5.
Please do check back in and post an update when you've put it through its paces.
