You could have gotten in at a much lower entry fee.
Remember- it's more about what isn't there versus what is. Efficiency and elimination of anything unnecessary should be the driving concept.
Sounds like we shoot in the same stomping grounds..
Pm or email me your name and next match or two you'll be at, always like to meet others. My name is Sean Murphy, ask Joe at Creekside who I am if you're worried about strangers.
Nice rigs you've got there.

Losing sucks.
There's not much worse than having the skill but lacking the equipment. Because if you have the skill it means you have put out the effort. For all that effort to come to naught because the equipment couldn't keep up is one of the most frustrating situations I can think of.
Enjoy your stuff. Enjoy building your skill. Then enjoy winning.
Thanks HelloLarry,
I've been practicing a lot and jumped straight into competition with both feet. It's been a blast. I shot in a tactical carbine match, tactical pistol match & a sniper challenge. I'm taking an 8 hour (500 round) tactical pistol class this weekend and then I have a multi-gun match the following weekend. I also have an IDPA match this Wednesday night.
Here's a few pics from the sniper challenge from this last weekend. It was a tough match.

Eye (and maybe ear?) protection not mandatory?
Ears required, but eye protection was optional. Most people were just wearing ear plugs so they could hear their spotter. There were members from a local swat team that were wearing headsets with a two-way radio for communication.

They game can be expensive, but you can cut costs down by finding used gear or simply "run what ya got" .

I was curious about the ZEISS tri pod, I found this one

Never seen it until I saw this post, very interesting but Im not sure it would be my first choice. That said, I am not a sniper match guy personally.
Anyone have thoughts on that contraption?
