I need to find me the right light....and hoping Streamlight will come out with a lower cost alternative to the XC-1 in 2017.

I want a light that stays even or behind the muzzle and if XC-1 is it....then I will find a decent one used but will hold out till late Jan 2017 and just use what I have.

I still want texture at thumbs forward position and looking for the right look. Also still need a Vickers (TD) slide stop but Brownells is out of stock.

L&M Precision did a great job

That's a clean looking beavertail backstrap chop! How'd you do it? Dremel??

DMG,

I used a sharp pair of scissors to cut to length, some sandpaper to dull the edge and roll the corners. Then lightly hit the new edge with a dremel felt polish wheel with compound already imbedded in the felt.

Probably took a couple of minutes.

BigA, thanks for the info. I actually bought one from brownells and it was defective. I sent it back and waiting for them to come back in stock so I can get my replacement.
