Regular flat base mags are flush or slightly recessed in the magwell. The Glock +2 is nice as does the Magpul G17 mags with the +0 mag extensions.
ALSO NOTE: I have changed nearly all of my mags to Gen 4 bases, not the Gen 5 with extended front toe on the mag. I tried a Magwell on my G19. It smashed my lerge hand up into the pistol, not leaving ANY room. Sold the 19, picked up a G48MOS with Rail and a G43X MOS and rail.
The 48 I use the Shield Arms 13 round mags in the pistol, 10 rounders in the 43X.

Im very much into the glock brand glock mags of the gen 5 style.
I prefer to buy g17 mags, that said I was looking at a new g47mos and just went with another g19.5 today.

Order of acquisition, might sell the gen 4 to a friend who needs to get something more capable than his shield.
