No they are not just as good. It would be real simple for them to pull their head out of their 4th point of contact and just make their stuff the right way.

Even if they are using ramps now, why did it take so long to catch up with the others who know and recognize the need?

Why do they insist on using 1/9 twist and not doing individual HP/MPI testing of their barrels and bolts?

No one in the know ever said RRA or CMMG was the rage. Those that did were idiots who where misinformed and generally don't know what they are talking about.

Right now IMHO the top brands are (no certain order) Noveske, BCM, LMT, Daniel Defense and S&W. Speaking of S&W they came into the game much later than Bushamster and they produce a rifle/ carbine that is much better. And they have been more responsive to the shooting public.
I would also add Colt to your list (just in case you forgot too).

I agree with Iraqgunz here, and this comes from someone who has owned 16 different BM's. Got rid of my last BM last year and now own a Colt and a LMT. I also agree with Grant that BM made a decent AR in the 90s but I would not get one now, not with so many good options available.

There is a lot of knowledge on this forum and I learn from it and appreciate it. This is one area we are never going to agree on, not just Bushmaster but other manufacture's as well. Are you an elitist? That would imply your preference is elite. I prefer to say very opinionated.

I agree M-4 cuts are desirable and Rob is right there is zero downside to having them, but they are not a deal breaker for me. Our duty and practice ammo feeds fine with "standard" ramps and all my mags have non-tilt followers.

This is the reason my build is going on my 20" A2 HBar Bushy lower. It was made back when they at least tried on most QC. I'm replacing it with a stag lower I got. I perfer the Bushmaster roll mark........ Vanity thy name is Spiffums.... or something close to that.

I remember reading that Bushmaster makes about a hundred (100) different AR models. Too many options and too many variations.

Yes, I meant to imply those in addition to Colt.

    Somebody please lock this thread!

"newguy" is a troll and has been one for quite some time. He first came on asking questions about RRA's quality and looking for feedback about Bushmaster. Then suddenly he's lashing out at people for criticizing Bushmaster rifles and talking about how YHM rails are so great for his "big man hands." Now he's trying to school everybody on how wrong he thinks the chart is because, *gasp!*, his brother has one that has M-4 feed ramps.

Why does anybody waste time on this guy anymore?
