    ACOG Opinions please..TA11 vs TA33

Looking to mount optics on a mid length recce low profile. Leaning towards the TA33 due to lower price, smaller profile, and good reviews. However, I do not want to sacrifice for a smallish amount of money, if what I will be most happy with is the TA11. My rifle is not cheap (Noveske), so I see no need to get cheap on the optics, but have heard a lot of great things about the smaller, lighter TA33. Thanks for the input, as always.

FWIW, my choice would be the TA11H-G.

I ran a TA-11 on a 16” carbine back in the mid 90’s through the early 2000’s as a deputy sheriff. It was great. A couple of my buddies have bought the TA-33 over the last couple of years. For me the TA-33 is the ticket.

I have no experience with the TA 11 but I really do like the TA 33. I like it much better than a TA 31 I used to own.

Probably be happy with either. TA11 has a little better Field of View. TA33 is smaller and lighter.

Would anyone consider the larger FOV, slightly larger magnification, longer eye relief to be worth the extra $?

Seems to be the main differences between the two.

The TA33 actually has crazy long eye relief -- much longer than is listed in the officlal specs.

Having used both the TA33 and TA11, I prefer the TA11 for its field of view and sight picture. The TA11 also has more than acceptable eye relief - I use mine on a .308 carbine and have not smacked my shooting glasses even once.

It is my intention to add the "regular" ACOGs to tthis chart but have not done so yet. It may be helpful to you nonetheless.

    Thanks chart man!

...leaning towards the TA33, mainly because I don't see a justification for the $$ to go for the TA11...but I have found some decent deals on those as well.

FWIW. the TA33G-H is the one I want to try. I have a TA33R-8 right now and I like it very much.
