I picked up a Tavor today and can't wait to get it cleaned & lubed and take her out for a spin.

ETA: Took it to the range and shot some Hornady 75gr hand loads. I am not thrilled, but am quite satisfied with the accuracy.

It appears, with these bullets, to be about a 1.5 MOA rifle in my hands, give or take. There were some larger groups and some smaller. I did the spring trigger mod which helped, I think the biggest disadvantage is the light profile barrel.

I took my 2 day old Tavor to the range for a first impression/function test. I was expecting a terrible trigger but didn't find it to be so. I am now used to a military trigger as my only 5.56 rifle since 2002 has been a 1979 Colt M16A1 with new OEM Colt M16 LPK. The Tavor was softer shooting than the Colt and it ate all the crap ammo that the 16 won't digest; Greek and Russian. The Mark 4 is NOT the optic for Mister T, I am waiting for the Meprolight M5 to arrive. Now I need to go back to the range and spend time working on accuracy.

I also like it better than the Steyr AUG P I had back in the late 80s.

If you decide you want a super low round count factory trigger pack for that sucker when you wear it out let me know. ;-)

BTW, do remove the return spring and it will be about the same pull as a GI AR15 trigger.

I also agree that it's worlds better than the AUG. I liked the idea but never could get into that thing. This fixes most all the short comings that system had.
