Question 308 Can on 5.56 rifle

    I am thinking about using a 308 suppressor on a 5.56 AR.

    Good idea?
    Bad idea?

I expect it will be a little louder than a dedicated 5.56 suppressor, but we are talking about a supersonic round, so how much quieter would it be?

I am thinking it would have a little less blowback because of the larger suppressor size?

I am thinking it will be a good bit heavier.

Am I missing any major points before I start getting the thread adapters?

    7.62 Can on a 5.56

It'll work, no problem/no worrries. Works about the same.

7.62mm thread is normally different than 5.56, but a good gunsmith can take care of it.

    Enjoy.

Quietshootr can give you specifics. He has run one Gemtech suppressor on his M24 and M4 for quite awhile......
Life is too short to deal with Blonde women, or carbine barrels over 10.5 inches
