    HR 1022 if it happens?

If the worst happens and this thing goes through do you think parts will be restricted?
Would it be tough to buy a LPK?
Also since they want to restrict hi-cap mags do you think replacement springs and mag parts would be restricted?
I read the proposed bill a few times but the wording gave me a headache.

Maybe we'd be better served fighting this bill with everything we got instead of trying to figure out what our "masters" will allow us to do because we didn't fight.

Im already doing what I can to help. I have sent my letters, upgraded my NRA membership, purchased a bunch of NRA merchandise I dont need. I have also joined another of the pro gun associations that are active in the fight.
But knowledge is power which is why I asked the question!

From what I read, parts would still be available. Though, I'm sure in future legislation, parts would be targeted.

Step 1: ban new guns and mags from sale.
Step 2: ban new or replacement parts from sale.
    Step 3: register existing guns.
    Step 4: confiscation.

Since this ban basically makes a lot of weapon illegal, do we REALLY invision the Govt. coming house to house collecting them?

One way to stop them from taking your post 1994 AR is to register the lower as an SBR.

You dont think going the NFA route will put you on the top of the come take me list? I was thinkin of going the NFA route on a full auto and a SBR, but thought it would red flag me in case of a ban.

Personally I think this is exactly what they may attempt. It just takes a committee adding it to the bill.

You know they were knashing their teeth when it was realized that a huge secondary market had been created for replacement parts (and individuals circumventing by building new mags from parts).

You could also expect them to close the loophole on importation of any pre-ban mags since you had wholesalers/retailers etc. that magically found hidden stocks of S. African/Argentine BHP mags, Asian contract 92F mags, and so on.

I think registering anything at this point as a means to try and keep it when the sword falls will be quite a mistake if confiscation begins. ATF etc. only needs to go to their own files to pull information on who has what. Everything else will require them to go to the local gunshop and pull all the 4473's and sort through them to find what they want. (Which they already due under organized crime statues....)

If confiscations become a reality, I think the details of the laws will become moot very quickly.
