Well the guy who was helping me with my gun cut the mag well bevel out of specs, so I'm stopping where I am. Sucks, but it's still a good carry piece.

I think he stopped building them a couple of years ago.

    Dave has a forum

probably the best way to get ahold of Mr. Berrhill would be through his forum or website. The Forum is www.1911pro.com

I have a MK IV Series 70 gun that I sent off to a 'smith back in July of 1980 for mods I wanted on it. Except for the different sights (Mine holds King-Tappan, fixed) and a Colt "ducktailed" safety instead of a beavertail, it's nearly identical to the MEUSOC build.

Fantastic weapon and utterly reliable. I've carried it nearly everyday and feels like an old friend.

Thanks for your interest! I'm not taking any new orders right now while I catch up on my backlog. I don't think I'll be building any more of the MEUSOC replicas. Many of the original parts are no longer available and there are a whole new generation of parts being made now that are much better quality. It then ceases to be a replica if different parts are used.

I'll start taking orders again in early to mid 2013 for the AFP and Traditional Model. I've thought about adding another model but not sure. I've been playing around with some other front strap textures for several years and may use one of them.
