    The Vortex is very, very good as a flash hider. For a long time, the Vortex was the best flash hider on the market. Now, the AAC Blackout is out, and it's a hair or two better, but you basically need night vision equipment to tell the difference.

    By the way, it will make a "PING" noise, like a tuning fork, when you fire it. Some people can hear it, some can't. It's normal.

    I'm so old I don't know how to post pictures, and was called an Air Policeman in Nam, and had no police training untill I had been on the road for 12 years, and carried an M-2 carbine and .38 S&W untill AR-15 came out. But hey the good is I can now go back to motorcycles, and do not have to retreat, well maybe could for 100 yards. Nice site and lots of info PS still a good shot just have to use scopes
