I've got the issue as well. Are there two different barrel lengths? The one on the cover and the one with the picture of the gun in the case look to be 14.5" maybe since there is no gas block exposed.

The Brits are getting an 18" and first commercial release is supposed to be 16". Not sure exactly what got photographed for the ad.

Finally got the magazine - great article.

Another "magazine" question - has anyone seen MagPul 20LR magazines in stock? I can't find any at this time. Hopefully it is just a short term shortage...

I thought they were getting the 16" ?
they requested the 18" before the trials but got a 16" and were so happy with it that they selected the 16" ( from what I read)

If that's the case, then are there two different length gas systems being used? There are a couple of photos with the gas block exposed and I believed this to be the 16". Then there are others with a covered gas block and what surely looks like a slightly shorter barrel.

Compare the rifle on the front cover to the back cover. Or look at the first page the article starts.

The picture of the rifle in the case looks to be similar to the one on the front cover in terms of barrel length.

ETA: Are the ones with the exposed gas block the 18" version? This might be the reason for my confusion.
