Hate T1 and clone 3x magnifier should I buy the real deal?

Short eye relief on that model. I sold my TA31 long ago. I like the TA33 better.

In 2009 Trijicon made a new Red Dot Sight called the RMR (Ruggedized Miniature Reflex).

They're now putting the RMR on all of the ACOGs. They stopped making the TA31TRD in 2009 to make room for the new RMR models.
