    Aim Surplus LEO Trade 6520's

Did anyone else here snag one of the latest batch of AIM LE trades?

Based on the Serial numbers they appear to be R6520 carbines with some "Character."

Mine arrives at the FFL today. I am curious how much character it will have.

Picked mine up this afternoon. A quick cleaning and it turned out far better than I expected.

Nice. But damn they put a Magpul sling point mount on that one too.

Glad I snagged most of the LE colts in 2004 months after the ban, the only one I really needed was the 6721 which I grabbed last time around when Aim had surplus guns. Really glad I snagged a Colt 6450 back then as they are the ones that seem to be the hardest to find among the LE Only rollmark Colts.

Yeah they did, I don't know what it is about the cops and those damned rattly single point sling thingy's.

The reason I hopped on this one is it was reasonable and as you state the LE only rollmarks are getting hard to find at decent prices.

    Nice little carbine!

If you didn't have a 6520, you NEEDED a 6520, short of going SBR it is the handiest of all the Colt Carbines and I love the individual roll marks used back then.

I was late to the AR15 party. Started off as strictly a hunting enthusiast, but figured out my real niche was modern military arms. These days, I especially like finding different Colts.

This will have a nice spot on my wall.

First time you have to carry and shoot it, you will wonder where it's been all your life. All those individual roll mark Colts are probably the last collectible Colts we will see for some time. Now everything is just marked "M4 Carbine" or "Carbine."

A painful reminder of a bad choice in letting one of those go. Nice gun!
