Painted AR's - show 'em off!

Post your painted AR's here and possibly a brief description on your inspiration or process.

    Here's mine:
Started with a new build and decided to use Brownell's Alumahide in Caote and Dark Earth. I also decide to use both colors and use the darker tone as contrast.

After a few weeks, I decided to paint my other AR this time in OD. I gambled and used a new paint called Painter's Choice (Oregano) and went with an old OD look.

I stripped it down and used Moly resin OD and flat black. then came back after curing and filled in the roll marks with the black and then back into the oven.

the skull was an after thought and I may cover it with another coat of OD.

It came out good and the finish is better than the pics show. it was coated a few times and after 3-4 shooting sessions it no-longer gave off a "paint" smell when hot. I like the FDE but in Indiana OD is my choice. I considered a grey color but was not sold on it since I don't know anyone that has it done that way.
I am waiting on a Noveske lower to arrive but that will most likely stay black.
If MAGPUL puts out maybe it will be an FDE project.

There is a fight, that began before any of us were ever born. It will continue, long after we have retired, moved on, and left this world. It is a fight for the soccer mom next door, your mailman, the guy that bags your groceries, and most importantly, it is a fight for your family. We are in a daily battle not for land, not for resources or colonial controls...we are in a fight for our very way of life

AR...that's an interesting green...almost reminds me of Glock OD.

I like it though b/c it's different than most of the greens you see used!

My advice would be just jump right into it. Pat got a wild hair up his @ss to do that and just did it without too much planning.

I'd probably spend too much time messing with trying to figure out the best way to go about it I'd get nowhere.
