Here's one I helped my brother build. Krylon Faux Swedish style pattern. I think the pattern turned out pretty good because it obscures the shape of the weapon.

I didn't think it was a good idea to put Krylon on the barrel. Has anyone done that before? Does it smoke and peel when the barrel gets hot?

I was at the range just yesterday and shot next to a guy a who Krylon'ed his entire gun- bbl,r'cvr, bbl and all.
He shot almost 400 rnds over a very short period of time and that Kylon-ed M4 looked great- no peeling, smoking, running, fading or anything at all as a result of getting VERY hot .
It just sat there looking great. Much like your rifle, congrats.

I absolutely LOVE this paint scheme- what would you call it ? What was the turn around time and all-in painting cost ?Is it Dura-Coat, and how is the job still holding up ?
