Duracote or Gunkote, but both require baking. Or you can powdercoat like car parts...

On a related note, anybody have any suggestions for how to subdue the white logos BCM applies on their uppers? I don't want to obliterate it, I just want to make it a little less "High Visibility". Could go to a transparent green enamel over it, but those are usually gloss and more a "bright" than "lo-viz" so I'd be trading one eye-catcher for another.

Actually it was like the third time, I painted the rifle. All of it was Krylon or Rustoleum. And for the splotches of black and white I used a paint pen from the hobby store I had lying around. What’s ironic was that I stripped the paint off and went back to a basic 3 color scheme from krylon because I thought the multicam was too much for my tastes. Looks good in pictures but it screams “hey look at me”at the range.

Very interesting. Can you tell us more about this if it doesn't bother you? The weapon looks very interesting after applying paint.

I used Rustoleum to paint this little S&W. I started off with a dark brown base coat and then khaki stripes. I let those dry for about 36 hours and then my Daughter finished it off. She just tore up a sea sponge and used that to dab on deep forest green, army green, & a flat red primer.

This is the first one we have done and my 13 year old enjoyed helping, and I sure enjoyed doing this little project with her. 🙂

Thanks, this being the first rifle I ever took a can of paint to & then turning a 13 year old over to finish it, well I was a little worried. I eventually said screw it because its gonna get beat up anyway. It actually hides itself really well and I never noticed how much rusty looken red colors there is in some tree bark until we stuck it next to a tree.

Nice! The red/rust really sets it apart. The colors remind me of German Flecktarn.

Thanks, and my Daughter said thank you also, its truly all her. I just cleaned the rifle well and laid down a decent base coat and let her have at it.
