    Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.

    I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

    If you use something like Rustoleum camo or similar product, you can fairly easily remove the paint with Citristrip without doing any damage to anodized aluminum. At least, I haven't noticed any. It takes a little elbow grease to remove the paint but it's not a big deal.

    I personally like using standard spray paint because I like the look of the finish being worn in high friction areas... adds visual character and makes the gun look like it's fulfilling it's purpose in life.

    I would recommend removing all plastic parts for your first attempt. Some plastics don't respond well to certain chemicals in paint strippers.
