I read on TOS that there's a video floating around showing a SPARC getting tossed downrange with no breakage or loss of zero. I searched youtube but couldn't find it. If anybody knows where this particular video is, I'm sure we'd all love to see it.

    Tokarev:
I saw that video on Youtube, but I don't think it was for a Vortex. A Lucid maybe.

FWIW: Scott at Vortex put one on a NFA AK and put 200 rounds full auto down range. He said the rifle was VERY hot and the Sparc was so hot he could barely touch it. The Sparc didn't malfunction and performed very well. He swears by the toughness of this unit and for the price, I honestly don't think you can go wrong. I do not own one, but I am looking at it as a future purchase.

Just a little correction on that. It has actually been many multiple sets of 200-300 rds(1000's) on a AK with most of it being done on full auto. When I done this testing I wear winter gloves and shoot until I cannot hold onto the gun any longer because it is so hot. You literally can not touch the site for more than about .001 sec(this is just a guesstimate, but very realistic) with out burning yourself. We have done some pretty brutal evaluations on these and honestly they are way tougher than I ever thought they would be. Dont get me wrong we designed them to be tough, but they at least have exceeded my expectations. Not to mention if anything did ever happen no matter who's fault it is warrantied for life.

    Scott
