Sucks though. Man forgot how many issues they had in the beginning.

Shouldn't be a big deal to change them out for larger screws if you ever wanted to do that. Just something to think about if you ever wanted to.
Yeah, they had a lot of issues. A lot. I'm not going to cover it up or hide it, but at the same time I think they've made some progress from that point. I don't know that anybody ever had all of the problems or even most of them. I think those that did have problems tended to have one or two. I'm hoping that the bad days are behind them as far as the SPX goes.

    That would rock.
I sent Mike an email today in fact. He's got a barrel he's working on for me and I was asking about it.

    Smokeater,

Congrats on your purchase! Like I've said before I was leery while handing over $612 to buy this Mossberg. But after some fair amount of trigger time I really couldn't be happier. How about a range report? How many rounds through it so far?

How did you do the bayonet mod and what parts are needed for that?

That was produced by S&J Hardware. If you're interested in mine, PM me and maybe we can make a deal.

I don't even have a 930 yet. Is the magazine tube from them also? How is the quality?

The S&J kit is a steel extension, steel bayonet lug band, follower, and spring.
The extension is much more solidly built than the Choate, and works great. It is a two piece, meaning that you have the extension nut and then the extension body which screws into the nut. The bayonet lug band slides over the end of the extension and then you clamp it down. It is a heavy duty unit.

Anyone making a youth stock? If not, has anyone modified theirs?

No youth stock. The action spring will not allow it unless you modify that. There have been some people that have cut the housing back an inch or so, and then cut the stock body down.

I've updated my review page on Wevo. I just put the Aimpro Tri-Rail info up, and I will be adding some Nordic and ETA stuff, as well as a few other items.
