I really think some of you got lost on the way to officer.com.

This is not an anti-police board - far from it. But, it is a RIGHTS board, and the "If you don't have anything to hide, you should just let the police dig through your shit anytime they want and you're a skell if you don't" shit needs to ****ing STOP here.

****ing had it. You want to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic? Welcome. You think you are entitled to be in control of every situation all the time because you're <drumroll> THE POLICE!? Screw you and everyone like you, and your horse, dog, and parakeet too.

    Out.

Measuring pieces of steel pipe and ****ing over US citizens on a consistent basis is their job? Bullshit, they're a tax collection agency.

    What happened to "OUT"?

As I stated earlier, these threads always get out of hand. It's like arguing about politics and religion. It's pointless.

Now I'm OUT. I have better things to read and post about.

If ATF came to my door I would have to let them in. Im an FFL. Im my local PD came to my door I think they would need to call for back up. And a warrant. I cant believe some people just let "the bad guys" in......

Hmm, well I'm glad things worked out for you, and I hope the issue with your "friend" gets resolved in a civil manner. Interesting how quickly things can sometimes go south dealing with people you've known for a while.

In any case. No one, under any circumstances, is entering my home without a warrant. I have nothing to hide, and I shouldn't be viewed as "suspicious" or having something to hide by exercising a right that I have as a citizen of this country.

Regardless of the profession, level of ethics varies among individuals and is often dependent on leadership quality and competence of managers. Also, regulatory agencies tend to interpret policy and enforcement procedures according to agendas, whims, and political mindset of those in power. It's this human element that scares me. Although I have nothing to hide, I would be most uncomfortable agreeing to any agency searching my house without a warrant. To clear up any confusion about me and illegal activity, I would cooperate at a later date with guidance from an attorney.

Having worked for state and county corrections agencies, I've seen cops, guards, and civilian employees charged with and arrested on bullshit, fabricated alleged violations. Why? Politics. Such a vendetta was conducted against eight Waco cops by their own PD. They were charged with felonies, arrested, fired, and suffered great damage to their careers and good names. This week the grand jury refused to indict and charges were dropped---over a year after it all began. Why? Politics and bullshit.

At all costs, AVOID getting entangled with the criminal justice system. Exercise your rights.

I'm glad you shared your experiences with us, I've learned alot from your experience as well as others comments. I probably would have done the same thing as you because of my ignorance about certain laws and regulations.( Yes I am working on that).
