Single point plate with Speedfeed pistol grip stock?

Are there any issues with using a DD single point sling plate with the pistol grip Speedfeed stocks?

Other than the sling adjustment bracket and possibly the attachment hardware being close to your face; no.

They add to the length of pull. Single point are for special purpose only. They don't make good carry slings. A good all purpose two point sling is the way to go.

Mostly the 1-Pt being used with the shotgun is the issue - even with a weapons catch it's cumbersome, so it's not that easy to carry along. Unless you have a precise application in mind, I wouldn't bother with it.

I use a gg&g single point end plate with the speedfeed stock and sp sling. I like the hell out of it. It adds to the distance from the trigger to your hand. But other than that it's gtg. But it's not ideal for carrying around as the gun will sit in your crotch, but for most purposes it's just fine a setup. I'll post a pic when I get to my computer.

I have a mounting point at the front strap of my buttcuff, this allows for good use of BFG Vickers 2 point and with the addition of some extra buckles, allows for instant 1 point conversion.

An SP plate does add length, although I guess nothing horrible.

I do not like this setup as the shotgun is too nose heavy as a single point and the sling gets in my cheekweld as a 2 point...

    YMMV

Just to clarify, are you asking about a speedfeed pistol grip only stock or a speedfeed conventional stock with pistol grip like the IVs?

I have been trying to find a sling solution for my work 870 (14"). Buck is right on the money on the single point, the 870 is just too heavy for a single point, which is what I have on mine now. I am using a Blackhawk cinch type nylon mount that wraps around the Speedfeed pistol grip stock. My issue 870 lacks the forward sling mount, it was cannibalized to fix another gun on the range. I may try to get another and put a good two-point on it, either a V-TAC or a Vickers. Anything though is an improvement over the three point strangulation system that it was issued with.

Over time I have gone from a 3 point to single point to the 2 point vtac and am very happy with the change. I like the quick adjustability of the length of the vtac
