Question Handheld light / multitool molle pouch

Hey guys! I've been toying around with adding a way to carry a handheld G2/6P style light and a Gerber multitool on my M4 Chest rig. I'm thinking of just adding a standard double capacity double-stack mag pouch to my strong side for this purpose. What are you guys running and do you have any suggestions for anything in particular or reasons I might want to consider something else? I still want to keep this fairly streamlined but after taking Pat's class I decided I wanted to add two FB style single-stack pouches on my off side to back fill my belt from and a way to hold a light and tool too. Thanks for any suggestions you have!

I use a Pentagon Molle light and an Eagle multitool pouch made exclusively for PSI, contact bookhound for details on the pouch.

Exactly what I use. They are all pretty much the same, just select the closure mechanism (velcro, snaps, fastex buckles, etc.) and the color you want.

I checked out the Eagle/ Polite Society multi-tool pouch on the PSI web-site but there isn't much in the way of a description. It appears to have elastic retention and a snap closure, but is there anything else that differentiates it from a mag pouch?

    Thanks!

It was designed for a multi-tool, so it is slimmer profile and has an adjustable lid, I run my pouch on first line gear not my chest rig, on the chest rig I run the molle light, if you have the space on the rig a double mag pouch will work fine.

Thanks for the info and suggestion! I emaild PSI and they quickly responed with a bunch of info on their multi-tool pouch and also suggested one of Spectre Gear's light pouches. They said they weren't real big on Spectre Gear as a whole but that their light pouches were GTG. I think I'm gonna follow your's and their suggestions and go with these two pieces. Thanks again!

I picked up a Surefire pouch that looks just like the Spectre Gear pouch.

It is pretty snug to start with but seems to be Ok.

We make specific pouch for almost every hand held light surefire puts out as well as pouches for the x200/300 and the spares ccarriers.

I carry a 6p and leatherman in our sual pistol mag pouch. Some lights that are a bit larger wont quite fit in that pouch but will fit in a dual pistol with removable/adjustable lids.

All of the pouches are available in fstx or velcro closure with pals or belt atachment on the back.

The build quality on the Specter is better than the Surefire, and they last longer. The SF can work, but it's more of a light(er)-duty pouch.

The sure fire pouches are a single layered pouch. All the sure fire cadre used our gear and we did a ton of small run stuff directly for surefire. As far as I know we are the only company that makes a dual layered pouch. Curdura wears front the coated side out and as rough as the hard ano. and knarling on the lights are they will wear right thru a single layered pouch.
