    No Safe Queen....big pics

The 2nd Vicker's AK Operator's class will start tomorrow. I took the first one and it was outstanding. I'll be going to the second one to take pics and shoot the shit with the guys.

I'll also take my Arsenal Inc. SA-M7 Classic.

This thing is not a safe queen, she has blemishes from use. I used it to teach some Boy Scouts about the AK and they contributed to a few of the character marks.....

    Anyway........

One of the things I'd like to do tomorrow is to run a little torture test.

I'll remove the dustcover and have someone throw a handfull of the red clay/sand stuff that's native to the area into the action with the bolt closed.

I'll then reinstall a the topcover and load the rifle, and see just how reliable this thing is.

We've all heard the anecdotal evidence that an AK can function with a handfull of sand in the action, we'll see.

This will of course be photographed and hopefully caught on video....

    So...the "Before" pics:

Don't do it. I will happily buy the rifle from you.

Ryan, I appreciate the offer, I really do. You're not the only one who's wanting to buy it from me before this.

Honestly though, it's just dirt, it will clean out just fine. It will either work or it will jam, and I'd like to know what it will do.

The rifle is 5 years old and has worked flawlessly.

    That makes 2 of us.

As a matter of fact, I wouldn't mind having one of those Arsenal Inc. SA-M7 Classics.

Those Arsenal AK look very nice. I'm jealous. Unfortunately, the limited run of the classic models was finished before I got the AK bug. Good for my check book but bad otherwise! I guess I'm looking at a Century Arms gun now. Much cheaper, but they don't look like they have anywhere close to the fit and finish of your rifle.

Enjoy your test and let us know how it turns out!

Well I took it to the Vickers AK class today. I was mainly there to hang out and take pics/video, as I've already taken the first class.

I ran it with the other guys in the drills and it performed flawlessly....

At the end of the day, I did the test.

We have had some rain down here recently, and instead of the dry clay/loam dust, we had red clay mud.

I removed the dustcover, took a handfull of the clay mud (with some grass roots still in it) and slammed it in the action.

Replaced top cover, charged the chamber, and dumped 30 rounds as fast as I could, with no stoppages of any kind. The rifle worked 100%.

Now I get to clean it......

Overall, I'm honestly a little suprised that it had zero issues.

Video was taken by my buddy vcpk9, but he's at the class still and I don't think I'll get a copy until later in the week, but when I do, I'll post it here.
