Bullshit. Just because you don't get the jokes does not translate "edgy" into "progressive." That's not even close to a logical progression. Aren't you the guy that doesn't watch the show? Try educating yourself or not talking about what you're not qualified to comment on.

Are you getting cranky again because I don't like your show? You poor thing, you.

I could go on about your failure to compare edgy with progressive, but your really not worth it.

No, I'm pointing out your own intellectual hypocrisy. If you'd watch the damned show, you'd see South Park making fun of Al Gore's nonsense and ripping on political correctness left and right. If you'd watch the show, you'd see they are not lampooning people just to be "edgy," they really are exposing hypocrisy.

Seriously, make an effort to get past your own preconceived notions or don't talk about what you have no knowledge of.

Well, the most thoughtful, meaningful reply I can think of is that you give one the impression they are talking to Jeff Bridges. Other than that, no dice.

Seriously, you're wrong and all you have are insults. Not liking the show is one thing but letting said dislike and blatant ignorance of the show's content is another. You are not qualified to comment on the show's content. I'd say the show is very libertarian for the most part and so does Reason magazine.

Look, try laying off the petty insults and look at the show's content or just say "I don't like that brand of humor and won't watch the show."

Stephen Colbert would say that the reason the show has lasted this long is because it is an excellent show and the free market likes it. And the free market is never wrong!

The show has libertarian traits, I agree. But they are displayed via an edgy, progressive means to say the least.

And I am not looking to insult you, in fact I like you. We just see a few things differently. Now that said, we are destroying the thread with this so let's move on.

While I usually disregard the comments left on CNN, these are quite telling in their own regard:

Watch the show. Your own personal definition of "edgy" does not mean that your perception is correct.

A statement from the creators of South Park:

A Statement from Matt and Trey
In the 14 years we've been doing South Park we have never done a show that we couldn't stand behind. We delivered our version of the show to Comedy Central and they made a determination to alter the episode. It wasn't some meta-joke on our part. Comedy Central added the bleeps. In fact, Kyle's customary final speech was about intimidation and fear. It didn't mention Muhammad at all but it got bleeped too. We'll be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it.

    Wow!

You couldn't be further off the mark.

    Not surprising seeing as how...

I am no fan of this show, can't stand 2 seconds of it.
Yet you talk like you're well educated on the topic?

Have you heard the term "South Park Republican"?

They may go after just about everyone. But the show hits the left harder than anything...With religion being a close second.
