Anybody watching the Washington Capitals? The best team in hockey this year in game 6 down by 2 in the 2nd period and playing like they want to lose. They couldn't even captialize on 2 man advantage power play. Every game this series has pretty much been this way...sloppy, lazy play. It seems like they are reacting instead of creating opportunities. I'm a Cap fan and this is disgusting to watch.

I dont know what is happening to them, they have all the offense in the world and cant seem to beat a fairly weak team.

Barry Melrose said the same thing after the first game. They play lazy in part because they think they can score in bunches against anyone at pretty much anytime. Problem is Halak's got that goal locked up tighter than Fort Knox right now.

Halak is playing well but the Caps aren't setting up scoring plays. I can't figure out why the number one scoring team in the NHL doesn't put a man in front of the crease. Instead they spend all day chasing the puck around the boards and turning the puck over with lazy passes.
