Let's see... It's called CUSTOMER service, and PMAGs are popular with the CUSTOMER. In fact, they are wildly popular with CUSTOMERS.

So, if you are Superior Arms, do you
    a) fix your ****ing product, so you can sell more,
    b) blame PMAGs
    c) blame the CUSTOMER
    d) do both b) and c) and sell less product.

Unfortunately, up to this point, Superior Arms does d).

There is not "fault" to place here. There is just shitty CUSTOMER service. Which includes getting ahead of potential CUSTOMER complaints. When Superior Arms is bigger and more popular than MAGPUL, then they can say whose specs gotta work with whose.

    superior arms

i've owned three of superior arms m4's, i've never had an issue, with p-mags or the shitty cheap steel ones, all my rifles have been spaced out, the first one i got was five years ago i think, then another one two years and then my last one seven months ago...they are a small manufacturing shop, the owners have always given me excellent customer service, the old guy actually lives close to me and i'm always welcome to stop by if i ever have issues, haven't had the need to yet , and a few of my friends have purchased them after being recommended by me, i dont know, maybe they had a batch of shitty lowers, its possible...

No, they have shitty lowers as the tool wears.

When they mount and calibrate the new tool, it makes a nice generous mag-well dimension. As it wears/goes out of tolerance, the mag-well gets smaller and smaller, just like any machine process where you remove metal from the inside of something.

Your drill bits do the same thing. The more you use them, the smaller the hole you bore in material.

I suppose they could either re-calibrate more often, or use up tools quicker, if they wanted to. But a smith I know interacts with them, and they indicate that they do not see the need at this time to do that.

So if you can hand-pick, or don't mind returning a lower, or hey, I am also told they are small and friendly, and will actually shove a PMAG into a lower and see if it drops free before they ship it.

It's really not the end of the world. I know at least one top tier trainer (Pat Rogers) who does not advocate "drop-free" as a magazine change TTP.
