It can be, but I'll take some easy to treat skin cancer over dealing with IEDs any day.

It steadily got bigger, about the size of a frozen pea by Mar 05 and turned black. When I returned CONUS, I made a doc visit and had it removed and it turned out to be pre-cancerous, whatever that means. Non cancerous cysts growing in the lip area (which sounds like what you had) are quite common. They usually just get removed, or go away. Very rare they turn out to be malignant. I would think skin caner rates will go up however with all the fair skinned vite D deficient people we have deployed in hot sunny places.
