I know the army does it for reclass soldiers , so maybe it is not used for pre IADT service members. Good luck with your training and have fun blowing some shit up.

I was about to reclass and took that test. At the end of the MOPP suit portion, I had puddles of sweat in my rubber boots and in the fingers of the gloves. Fun times.

I didn't go to EOD school,But I did grow up right outside Eglin AFB.

When We went to get Our base hunting permits We would get a printout that basically said,"If You see anything that looks like a bomb, shell,or grenade,Don't pickup/kick/**** with it in any way."A lot of ordinance has been dropped on Eglin over the years and the chances of finding something dangerous is pretty good.People have blown themselves up before.

The ranges are off limits,But only closed off with a gate and not guarded except on the day of a mission,So People do go into places they shouldn't.One of the things they like to do is go out and strip anything usable off of the old trucks and tanks that are set out as targets.I've never heard of any scavengers getting shot up,But still real dumb.

And if You get the chance make sure to hit the beach at PC.(if the oil doesn't screw it up.)
