    Cheap Red Dot?

Hey guys I was just wondering if anyone had advice on which red dot sight to get on an extreme budget. I would like to get one for range use and just general target shooting since I don't use this weapon for anything else. I would like to keep it under 100 dollars which I know is pretty low but I just don't have that much disposable income at this time.
    Thanks

Primary Arms stuff is in your price range and seems to hold up well for range and rimfire use. I have one of his Micros and it's worked well on a 5.56 carbine, a 9mm carbine and my .22LR build.

Although battery life is nowhere near aimpoint status, primary arms is about your only reasonable choice. Shooter orionz06 used one at our local m4c meet and had the most consistent groups of anyone running carbine.

The Primary Arms micro seems decent for the price.I recommended one to a friend for his Buckmark pistol after seeing a few reviews and it's held up pretty well(I'm actually in possession of it ATM).The activation knob seemed to go from very tight to borderline scary-loose rather quickly...Still working though.

There have been numerous threads here with almost the exact same title/question.....

The general consensus is that you're much better off sticking to iron sights and saving your money until you can afford a decent optic.

Start an Aimpoint or Eotech jar, put a couple bucks in every day and you'll be able to get something decent.

Otherwise, you're probably wasting your money, which it sounds like isn't something you really want to happen.

    ^^ For sure.

Just to be clear on my last post...

I would have never recommended it for anything other than a plinker. He wasn't willing to spend the money on an Aimpoint/EOTech/etc.

    Even used...I tried.

I can't really blame him for not wanting to spend more than the gun was worth to shoot cans or an occasional small animal though.

Given that I'd say check out the Primary Arms Micro. Mine may take a dump tomorrow, but it's holding up up well so far.

Hey guys, sorry its been so long my internet has been messed up and just got it fixed today. But thanks everyone for the advice after thinking about it I like templars advice and I am going to start a eotech or aimpoint jar. I don't know yet which one I will get, I would like to try both out before spending that much and decide which I like better. Again thanks for all the comments, I have been browsing this website for a while and this is my first time actually posting a question and I am very pleased with this forum so far everyone is very friendly and willing to help. I hope to get to know some of you better and learn a lot of stuff from everyone.
