Well a friend of mine calls me yesterday after leaving VA Arms he stops by this other Gun Store (will remain nameless) and asks for those rubber houge grips for Glocks. Guy tries to sell him some grips that he swears screw into the grip. My friend says no grips for Glock not SIG again guy says yeah you should be able to screw them into the Glock frame.

That is why I go to VA Arms not that other place. I either go there or have a 2112 or 2111 help me out at work.

I just called a gun store down in Columbia and inquired about AR15 lowers...
Them- We don't have lowers but do have a few AR's
Me- Can you do a transfer or order a lower and if so what do you charge?
Them- We don't do FFL transfers we are in the gun selling business.
    Me- Ok, thanks....

Now I see why I have not purchased any new firearms in a long time. Most of these guy's rank right in there with corner used car salesmen.

Haha, funny thing is they have several Garands and I saw a box of clips for them, I should have walked him over to the Garand counter and gave him a lesson between magazines and clips.
He kind of looked like a revolver, bolt action, and lever action kind of guy anyways.

This is stupidity at its finest. Sooner or later, gun stores will realize that doing transfers creates customers (in the future).

Right! This store is across town, about 25 miles, from me and had I drove over there I would have picked up an extra item or two. Now I'll just continue to order my stuff from the internet and find another person to do the transfer.

    Oh my god!

This must be the same place that had free lunch for customers last Saturday.

BTW tell your buddy DD sent me the wrong wrench. But I should have the correct one by Friday or Saturday. Once I have that I can reassemble it in about 15min.

Exactly. We don't have the 3rd or 4th highest gun sales in VA by accident (I know we're lower in pure #s by Green Top and Gander Mountain). We do as many maybe even more transfers as we do regular firearms sales.

I did two transfers through a local gunshop. I like the guy behind the counter. I don't know how knowledgeable he is, but I don't ask him questions either. I know what I want for the most part. Anytime I'm out to buy something gun-related, I stop by his shop first.

Having good customer service and offering services the customer wants really does build customer loyalty. It doesn't just hold with guns either. I'll only buy boots from one store, because of their outstanding service, and I'll only buy running shoes from another store for the same reason.
They had no right to win. Yet they did, and in doing so they changed the course of a war...even against the greatest of odds, there is something in the human spirit - a magic blend of skill, faith and valor - that can lift men from certain defeat to incredible victory.

People think I recommend VA Arms because gotm4 works there, but both of us have been going there for many years, long before he began working there. The first time I went in the shop, I was treated as all of the other customers were treated. It was weird to be in a gunshop and not be ignored, condescended to, or otherwise disrespected because I am a woman. Several years ago, there were two different shops where I asked a question and the employee just sneered at me and walked off. At one of these shops, the employee was a woman. I wanted to yell a few choice expletives about what they could do with their overpriced firearms.
