Actually mine has both crossbolt safety and lever safety. Here's a hasty close up photo.

they used to have just a big lever. they were know to miss fire when the safety was switched off. I've never had it happen with mine, but you're ok with you set up.

This is the first one I've seen in person so I'm new to this. I did do a transfer on a Franchi LAW12 that had a similar setup. This is the first SPAS12 I've seen in person. I love the switchable pump to semi auto on it. I think Benelli had/has one that did/does that but I'm unsure. Most of my shotgun experience has been with Remington 870s.

here is what it does with 00 federal LE132
Left plate was at 5 and 7. Right was 10 and 15. The target was at 20 and 25 yards. all inside the scoring ring..

Is that the factory Modified Choke 14"? I had heard that they were not good with the Federal Flight Control, but, I would say your barrel is just dandy...
