I guess this should be in this section. Don't mind his little buddy in the second picture.

It is the task of our generation, yours and mine. But we build and defend not for our generation alone. We defend the foundations laid down by our fathers. We build a life for generations yet unborn.
We defend and we build a way of life, not for America alone, but for all mankind. Ours is a high duty, a noble task.---Franklin Delano Roosevelt May 26th, 1940.
I had never even seen a picture of the type shown before I bought the set. The fixed stock version I had seen. There was a 3rd item bought at about the same time. A Colt Silver Star 45 which other than the prefix, matches the serial number on the Camo Companion. Not hard to remember their numbers, same as the last 3 of my D/L. Last one of the A2s I saw, sold for over $4400. Which is nearly what I paid for all 3.
And as of this week, there is a gov't issue M7 bayonet and M8A1 scabbard for it coming. Won't know what I'm getting till they get here as they are still in gov't wrapping.

The camo pistol is cool. Did you have that done or was it a limited Colt run? I was in the TX Guard but never served a field, I was definitely not the tip of the spear more like the grip tape on the handle.. But did or do any current serving infantry or SF camo paint their pistols?
