Preban Colt R6520. Gothic Serpent Colt M16A2 Carbine / RO727 clone. This particular rifle is NIB and unfired since leaving Colt. I swapped the 16" pencil barrel for an original unfired 14.5" Colt 727 barrel assembly. The barrel has no taper under the handguards and has a (C) MP marking instead of the C MP found on the M4 barrels. A2 flashhider is pinned with a spacer to meet 16". This rifle has the two position receiver extension and older style lock ring as well.

Per Colt, this rifle was manufacturer in October of 1993.

Parts I added or swapped in:

Colt 14.5" M16A2 Carbine / RO727 barrel assembly. (C) MP stamped and date code behind the FSP is stamped 15 (1991 I believe, but not 100% sure).

ARMS #2 Weaver mount with an Aimpoint 9000SC on top. (Still looking for a mint Aimpoint 3000).

Surefire 660 with tapeswitch, Surefire M14 barrel mount, Surefire (Weaver) M10 1" ring mount, and Surefire F12 IR filter cap.

Colt big button/large (notched) forward assist.

Period correct Colt M16A2 safety selector with position indicator notch.

Hopefully I'll get time to zero it this weekend.

This is no where near as correct as some, but I'm loving this little gun!

Got tired of waiting for PSA to get complete A1 uppers in stock, so I grabbed an H&R XM16E1. It'll scratch the itch for a while.

It's f*****g great, putting holes in people, all the time, and it just puts 'em down mate, they drop like sacks of s**t when they go down with this.

Sorry for spamming this picture, but I think it turned out well. Range report in the H&R thread.
