This is my one safe queen.....

Colt SP-1 manufactured the first full year of production, 1964.

It came with the original Colt 3X scope.

Sweet jeebus Templar! If you're gonna have a safe queen, it ought to be capable of ruling the kingdom.

    Cheers

And what would one of these run you today compared to what Uncle Sam paid for them in their era? Talk about inflation! Thank Bush... lol
    Fact of life:

Although the EAGLE may soar proudly through the skies, it is very rare for the Weasel to be sucked into a jet engine.

My very early (1964) 604 upper should be back any week now from Victor at US Anodizing and my first complete retro clone will be complete. I'll post pictures as soon as I put it together. I have 4 others in various stages of being built, but there is that stuff called money that's slowing me down.

The rate of inflation from 1966 to 2010 is 581.41%

If you take $189.50 in 1966 $$$ and multiply it by 5.8141, the sum is $1101.77 in 2010 $$$... The price of a Colt AR really has not changed much in the last 40 + years...
