Wow, how did you go about putting that together? The retro forum over at TOS would
    if they saw that.

    1973 Colt SP1..

I've owned this for the last 21 years. Serial number is SP30xxx which makes it a 73' (I think). Everything is Colt but I'm not sure it is all original.

Damn nice, I have a very similar rifle only mine is a '72.

I actually had to sell it not too long ago. It's currently doing duty behind enemy lines in NY State.

That is actually one of my favorite rifles.

When I was a kid in the 70s those SP1s were "it" as far as my Dad and his shooting buddies were concerned. I may have lusted after the FALs and G3s in magazines, but the SP1 was what we were all shooting at the range.

The fact that the similar looking 16A1 dominated movies and TV shows like SWAT just made it that much more iconic for me.

Interesting find. I Came across this a while back but forgot I took pictures until I decided to clean up my phone.
Id explain the make and all but it's pretty self-explanatory... Roll marks galore. Big RP stands for the Republic of the Philippines though.

I've wanted to try one of these little entry stocks from RRA for years. I run my CTR's one click out and think this will be pretty close. I would like to try one of the reproduction XM607 Buttstock from Total Silence but they are shut down for a few months because of a move. So while I wait this one is about $300 cheaper .

Have any of you Gents tried either stock?

    Thanks.
Well here is my Upper & Sully Stock on an M16 lower. It is a retro inspired SBR. Colt SP1 upper, BCM 11.5" bbl, A2 FH, M4 hadguards I had laying around, BCM BCG & Gunfighter CH, I just added the CSACT rear sight, it also wears a BFG 2 point sling and a Mount n Slot HK snap hook attachment on the handguards. I still need a light.
